You will need to be person centred, have a good understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities and promote their rights and choices.

You will be based at Faversham Community Service and be responsible for the day to day running of this service, there is an expectation that the role has visible presence within the service, and you will support where needed with management cover across all East Kent Community Services.

The successful applicant will have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care, or equivalent, and the Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards) as well as appropriate relevant experience of working with adults with disabilities.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
