An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a manufacturing business at a pivotal point in the firm's growth journey. This role will oversee the development of a small finance function and become an influential member of the management team.

Accountabilities;
- Production of monthly management accounts, overhauling existing processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of results.
- Balance sheet review and reconciliations with ownership of queries and differences.
- Ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Cashflow and working capital planning and management.
- Inventory control and WIP accounting to optimise production.
- Developing and leading the finance team.
- Developing and implementing appropriate financial and non-financial reporting including lead indicators to management and the board.
- Refining product level reporting, reviewing profitability and contributing to the pricing strategy.
- Production of statutory accounts and owning the relationship with accountants and auditors.
- Work with the MD to identify operating efficiencies and eliminate bottlenecks in production processes.
- Review and streamline accounting functions.
- Constructive challenge to management and executive team on all financial aspects of the business.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Qualified accountant.
- Accustomed to working in fast paced entrepreneurial environments.
- Experience in manufacturing is preferable.
- Accustomed to working independently and able to prioritise and focus resources to deliver on key objectives.
- Ability to influence at management and board level.
- ERP systems experience.
- Strong attention to detail, solution focused and pragmatic.
