A client in the retail sector is looking for an Interim Financial Controller for an initial six to nine-month assignment. The role sits in a marketing-led, collaborative business and would suit someone who is comfortable taking ownership of technical reporting and month-end delivery.You will handle statutory reporting under IFRS, manage the full month-end close, maintain the general ledger, prepare VAT returns, and ensure internal controls are operating effectively. You will act as the main contact for external auditors and tax advisers, oversee cashflow reporting and forecasting, and provide day-to-day guidance to the finance team.Requirements Oversight of day-to-day finance operations, maintaining schedules for audit and reportingStrong technical reporting experience under IFRSPrevious responsibility for statutory accounts and month-end closeAccurate, organised and able to manage workload to deadlinesOversee audit processes within the businessStrong Excel capabilityConfident communicating with both finance and non-finance teams Salary: £60,000 - £80,000IPS Finance has 45 years’ experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
