Due to contract growth and expansion, we are delighted to advertise for an experienced internal quality assurer/internal verifier for our childcare curriculum.

As an internal quality assurer, you will play a part in inspiring and ensuring that every learner that goes through an apprenticeship programme with Acorn Training will have an opportunity to thrive and succeed. You will be responsible for mentoring trainer assessors during their work, supporting them with quality improvement activity.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assuring consistency in the delivery of Acorn Training quality in assessment practices across the childcare curriculum.
- Coordinating the process of Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment
- Lead on Equality and Diversity and Every Child Matters across the business
- Supporting with quality improvement activity across the Skills Division of the business
**Job Details**

1. Ensure Acorn Training Quality of Assessment processes are consistently implemented across the business by working closely with Sector Leaders to ensure consistent standard in assessment judgements are upheld in line with OfQual and Awarding Body specifications and requirements

2. Support Sector Leaders by ensuring that robust IV Plans are in place, ensure that the plans are delivered and judgements on assessment are robust, valid and evidenced appropriately; providing senior managers with regular reports on the performance of assessors and sector leader’s assessment judgements and whether IV plans are being achieved

3. Support the delivery of Learning and Development qualifications within Acorn Training and to external organisations

4. Undertake Internal Verification of Assessment within areas of competency

5. Deliver internal staff training on key tools within assuring the quality of assessment, such as one file, on line testing, invigilation, BKSB

6. Support the Lead IQA as assistant lead IV, meeting with External Standards Verifiers, coordinating their meetings and ensuring the correct evidence is in place for these meetings as requested

7. Support with staff development as a senior practitioner

Experience;
- Knowledge and understanding of frameworks and standards up to level 5 with different relevant awarding bodies
- Knowledge of funding streams and funding requirements for the delivery of Apprenticeship and skills programmes
- Proven knowledge of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices to engage learners
- Ability to support and motivate trainer assessors
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage your own diary
- Ideally, at least two years' experience of working in an education training and development environment
- Experience of managing the full learner journey; initial assessment, IAG, diagnostic, teaching-learning-assessment, including classroom and 1:1 delivery
- Experience of using e-portfolio systems e.g. One File
