**About The Role**

Maslow’s is now looking for a talented Management Accountant to lead a team of two on a Maternity cover contract across Accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily, and weekly financial reporting, and payroll.

**MAIN OBJECTIVE OF POSITION**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assisting with the junior team management to complete all tasks, analysis, reporting, and deadlines.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, including daily revenue reports, weekly and monthly P&L reports, assisting with cash flow reports.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data,
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling as needed.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements for external stakeholders, such as investors, lenders, and regulatory agencies.
- Account payable function including invoice processing, reconciliation of accounts, payment of and management of supplier communications.
- Payroll preparation and reporting.
- VAT preparation and reporting.
- Reconciliations to include accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules for the management accounts.
- Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial reports, statements, and forecasts for management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed, responding to management inquiries.
- Supporting process improvement and other project work.

**Skills & Experience**
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Experienced at managing a team successfully through coaching and feedback.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with hospitality-specific software and systems, such as Trevalis, Fourth, Seven Rooms would be an advantage
- Xero accounting system and Sage 200 trained.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
