**Job Summary**
Responsible for ensuring seamless operations between our warehouse and external logistics partners, helping to streamline processes, maintain inventory accuracy, and optimize distribution efficiency. The shift pattern for this role will be to work rotating shifts. Mon-Friday 6am - 2pm and 2pm-10pm.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the highest possible levels of Health, Safety and Hygiene are upheld so that legislative and quality requirements can be complied with which include reviewing and completing new Risk assessments.
- Define and execute the most effective operational team structure. Ensure key individuals are identified and mentored to ensure effective succession plans are in place. Develop a culture of operational excellence.
- Constantly improve the operational effectiveness by optimising the warehouse management systems and automation to achieve the highest productivity and accuracy rates.
- Capture and analyse real-time data to develop, implement and communicate relevant KPI’s to measure and evaluate processes and outcomes.
- Ensure seamless integration with the transport operation, improving service and reducing costs, damages and CO2 within the SLS van and carriers.
- Negotiate and manage the relationships with all carriers and warehouse equipment suppliers.
- Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfil operational and customer demands and meet set targets.
- Ensure inventories in area of responsibility are accurate.
- Support organising and participate in stock takes at regular intervals.
- Ensure that any computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date.
- Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change.
- Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse, were appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level.
- Review ways to reduce waste.
- Assist in planning future capacity requirements.
- Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan.
- Ensure that vehicles, machinery, and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose.
- Carry out disciplinary / grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedure.
**Customer Satisfaction**:
- Act as a liaison between the warehouse, 3PL providers, and internal teams to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
- Work closely with customer service teams to address any order-related issues promptly.
- Furthermore, act as support to the SLS operation, and cover tasks when required.

- It is essential to have a willingness to learn, can challenge yourself, have a strong sense of initiative and have the desire to grow as an individual as well as part of the business.
- IT literate and able to extract, analyse and examine data to provide concise reports and provide advice to the whole SLS senior management team.
- Can adapt to a quickly changing landscape and react decisively.
- The ability to communicate confidently and effectively across all levels of the business and tailor communication style according to the audience.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate work.
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be prepared to travel to all our sites regularly throughout the UK and Ireland.
