Security Officers for 5 Hotel Events

**Assist Security **are looking to recruit a security professional with excellent customer services and conflict management skills and immaculate presentation to work at a variety of our 4-5* hotels to assist with their events.

**Main function of the role**:You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling entrances, patrolling on a regular basis, and managing undesirable behaviour to deliver a safe Guest and Members experience while within the hotel venue. You will also be required to investigate theft and support evacuation procedures. Specifically, you will be responsible for the members and guests’ safety and keeping a high-level of professionalism.

**Pay Rate**:
£11.00 to £12.00 an hour

**Shift Pattern**:
Ad-hoc - as and when the clients have events on

6-12-hour shifts

**Shift Times**:
Shift times can vary.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- **1 Years’ experience working within security**:

- A valid DS licence.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Professional & Personable.
- Immaculate presentation.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- 5-Year employment / educational history.

**Preferred Requirements (not essential)**:

- **Proven experience in patrols and conflict management.**:

- Bilingual
- Emergency First Aid Certificate.
- ACT training Certificate.
- Conflict management training.
- Be able to use two-way radio’s

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Monitor and control entrances to the building.
- Provide security presence for the event in line with the hotel’s terms & conditions.
- Provide security presence for the event in line with the licencing act.
- Can conduct regular searches of bags, staff and guests where required and report any discrepancies or violations immediately.
- Patrol hotel facilities and function rooms remain locked and secure while not in use.
- Patrol the hotel on a regular basis.
- Support evacuation of the hotel during fire alarms.
- Monitor suspicious packages and be aware of bomb and terror threat procedures.
- Maintain the security logbook and incident reports
- Manage undesirable behaviour in a professional manner, intervening and defusing potential altercations.
- Liaise with Police in absence of Security Team Leader/ Manager.
- Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty.
- Adhere to all health & safety regulations.

**Training provided**

As a member of the security team, you will be required to undertake SIA licence training and vetting to BS7858.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
