**The Role**

At Shearwater our business functions operate on a global scale, but work like a local team.

Combining their experience and expertise, they work collaboratively with the aim to continuously improve our vital people and business functions.

We are currently expanding our Supply Chain capabilities to meet the needs that our business growth requires.

Leading the overall supply chain operations, in this newly created position the Head will be responsible for creating and implementing a global supply chain strategy to ensure that individual business segments run effectively and that organisational goalsand performance KPI’s are achieved.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to work in a highly collaborative environment, where you can build your understanding of the Shearwater business and then take ownership of identifying, creating and implementing a corporatesupply chain strategy.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Evaluate supply chain procedures and identify improvement opportunities based on wider industry practices
- Streamline current supply chain activities to reduce operating costs
- Actively collaborate with other departments to create coordinated business growth plans
- Ensure supply chain processes are aligned to legal practices and standards
- Manage a team of procurement and logistic professionals
- Communicate, train and guide employees on procedures
- Contribute to tender responses when required
- Lead communication and negotiation with suppliers and vendors
- Report and evaluate on contractor management KPI’s

**Education and experience**
- Higher education or degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience
- 3 years+ line management experience
- A minimum of 2 year+ of international experience in a global operating company
- Demonstrable experience of delivering supply chain strategies within a similar industry such as Aviation, Engineering, Marine

- Positive attitude
- A natural team player, who can collaborate and lead within a international and multidisciplinary team
- The ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrable experience of managing deadlines and priorities
- The ability to build new relationships with peers and external providers
