**Job Purpose**
To provide research and administrative support for the international disease registry projects which are based in the Office for Rare Conditions (ORC) in the School of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing, College of MVLS. The post-holder will work closely with the PI, Professor S. Faisal Ahmed and the Registries Project Manager on established projects and with the wider network of stakeholders involved in these projects. These international networks extend to all the continents with an increasing focus in the far east, especially China. The post-holder will provide a high level of proactive administrative support to academic staff, construct detailed work plans, communicate with various stakeholders as well as support the team in the financial administration of research grants and contracts.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
1. Provide assistance and advice with financial costings, financial project management and post-award reporting. Support for grant bid writing where appropriate, milestone planning, project promotion and co-ordination as well as clerking of the steering committee and any related committees. The post-holder will also provide advice in line with the terms and conditions of funding bodies.
2. Liaise with NHS governance bodies (e.g., ethics and data governance) and University Services Research Support Office (e.g., legal, insurance and contractual matters).
3. Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with stakeholders and key funders.
-6. Maintain and ensure the integrity of all relevant project data on Registry Project Platforms. This includes a log of all the tasks that are required for the registry projects and the quality assurance processes.
7. Analyse and perform detailed manipulation of data with the PI and Project Manager to prepare reports on registry activity and present findings at international meetings.
8. Active involvement in collaborative working to build networks, share best practice, develop web-based resources. Including training of new and existing network and registry users and dissemination activities.
9. Undertake any other duties as required by the line manager.

**Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

**Knowledge/Qualifications**

**Essential**:

A1 Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 8 (Scottish Vocational Qualification level 4, Higher National Diploma) or equivalent, and experience of personal development in a similar role.
A2 Significant experience of relevant research administration or project management
experience in a similar or related role in University, private and/or public sector.
A3 Proficient in reading, writing and speaking Mandarin.
A4 Knowledge and understanding of data governance and its importance

**Desirable**:

B1 Detailed knowledge of Higher Education research administration.
B2 Operational knowledge of University of Glasgow business and finance systems (agresso)

**Terms and Conditions**
Salary will be Grade 6, £30,502 - £34,308 per annum.
This post is full time, and has funding for up to 12 months
