**Transport Coordinator**

Part Time - FTC 9 months

Location: Witham, Essex

Are you an organised and efficient Transport Planner/Coordinator looking for your next role?

This position has arisen due to maternity cover, you would be required to cover for around 9 months, ideally starting as soon as possible. It is a part time vacancy, Monday to Friday, either supporting in school hours or afternoons (more information canbe given).

To be successful in this position we are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of the transport industry, including driving laws and tachographs. You will be responsible for organising work for two drivers, which will include forward planning andscheduling, speaking to customers and suppliers when required. You will need to have experience of logistics and planning, with a proven ability of using your own initiative and being proactive when it comes to problem solving.

Duties for this role will include:

- Maintaining all company vehicles in line with legal requirements including inspections, MOTs, insurance and tax, etc.
- Filing all vehicle documentation including V5s, contract hire agreements and other relevant documents
- Download and monitor drivers tachographs
- Downloading data from tachographs and sending information to external agencies to check and monitor driving hours in line with regulations
- Manage all HR aspects for drivers including holiday requests, sick days and training for CPC compliance
- Schedule deliveries, planning the most efficient routes, suggesting changes to suit the needs of the business such as change of dates
- Communicate with clients before scheduled delivery to ensure all arrangements are in place for the delivery driver ahead of schedule, liaising with both the driver and client
- Scan and upload delivery notes
- Ensure all drivers are completing relevant paperwork correctly
- Support with sourcing temporary drivers for short term cover - checking documentation and suitability
