Job Introduction- North Devon District Hospital is looking for a Patient Service assistant to join our team.

- £10.42 Per hour-

As a Patient Support Assistant at Sodexo in **North Devon District Hospital**, You are crucial to ensuring that our patents receive exceptional all-around support. You will be responsible for keeping wards and other rooms associated to the hospital clean and hygienic, as well as assisting with the preparation and serving of our vibrant menu and ensuring that all working areas are kept clean and neat. Your daily interaction with patients on the ward, helps to alleviate some of the stress that is often associated with hospitalisation. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you’ll do:
- Maintain patient safety by keeping their rooms, wards, communal areas, restrooms, and other hospital areas clean.
- Strip and clean beds and collect linen, emptying bins and waste containers
- Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Arranging / presenting food in an attractive way
- Clearing of all used cutlery and crookery
- Loading and operating the dishwash
- Ensure the pantry / service areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness
What you bring:
- Exceptional customer service skills: a willingness to go above and beyond
- A passion for health and safety
- Personal and professional integrity, appearance, and demeanour with an approachable, compassionate, and friendly personality
- Team player with and superb communication skills
- Previous experience in a similar role a bonus, but a can-do attitude and complete customer focus will tick the box
- Food hygiene level 2 or above would be great, but don’t worry if you don’t have this we are still keen to hear from you
