WHAT TO EXPECT:
The SA Cost Recovery Specialist is responsible for driving continuous improvement in key throughput metrics at Jaguar Land Rover operating locations through a proven strategy. The role requires complete accountability from the capturing of non-conformance at Jaguar Land Rover sites through to containement and countermeasure plans with Jaguar Land Rover Tier 1 Suppliers, ensuring innovative supply chain solutions are adopted to drive efficiency and cost optimisation across all operations. The fundamental focus being to ensure supplier adherence and continuous compliance to Jaguar Land Rover’s supply chain operating standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role is responsible for ensuring ongoing Supplier compliance in line with Jaguar Land Rover supply chain operating standards and overseeing the development of supply chain standards for Jaguar Land Rover’s global tier one supply base.

You will be monitoring and overseeing the continuous improvement of Jaguar Land Rover's supply chain to deliver efficiency and cost optimisation across all logistics operations, working closely with Jaguar Land Rover's 4PL to ensure all Jaguar Land Rover sites are aware of the agreed standards and are capturing non-conformance accordingly. You will manage, monitor and track resolution to all logistics problems and issues to ensure improvements are achieved and there is a roadmap to achieve logistics excellence, and support measurable increase in right first time and the development of resilient supply chain solutions. You will ensure containment and countermeasures are agreed and implemented by Jaguar Land Rover Tier 1 supplier.

You will be responsible for the development of successful working relationships with Jaguar Land Rover's 4PL, purchasing, accounts and STA teams to ensure that all activities are aligned and liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and the supplier base to ensure project objectives are delivered on time and Jaguar Land Rover's Operating Standards are met.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
You will need to have leadership experience in multiple logistics disciplines (Supply Chain Management, Launch, Operations Management, Vehicle Scheduling / Production Control, Logistics Engineering).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Strong influencing & negotiation skills - ability to lead senior representatives in supplier environment
- Ability to analyse and break down complex, multidimensional problems or processes into its key elements to achieve common goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are important to communicate across all levels, and these should be combined with a confident attitude.
- Ability to work in a disciplined and controlled manner with high levels of personal organisation and motivation
- Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good understanding of lean production and supply chain principles
- Experience of system improvement with manufacturing process
- Ability to work under pressure with high personal resilience
- Flexibility and commitment as travel may be extensive in the UK and overseas
