Overview
We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced Shotblaster, Grinder, Planer and Tile stripper Operators to join our team and we offer the ideal opportunity to grow and develop your career potential. The role involves preparing surfaces using our equipment across the UK, as directed by our contracts Manager, on a variety of different sites, ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work and Health and Safety regulations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Preparing and cleaning concrete, asphalt, steel and other hard surfaces, removal of old floor coverings, coatings and waterproof membranes
- Completing projects as assigned by the contracts Manager to a high standard in accordance with project specifications
- Co-ordinating and mentoring site labourers and apprentices
- Transporting equipment and tools to and from site
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
- Collaborate with other teams to optimise efficiency
- Document and record daily activities in accordance with procedures for submission to management
**Requirements**:
- Proven record of equipment operation
- Excellent communication skills
- CSCS card
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Current UK driving licence
- Strong work ethic and can do attitude
- Willingness to work away from home as required
- Flexibility in working hours
