About the Role:

On behalf of our client – a well-established and respected groundworks contractor – we are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to oversee a range of residential and commercial groundwork projects.

This is a full-time position based out of Lincoln, with the flexibility to travel to sites across the Midlands and beyond when required.

As Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of groundwork projects from the ground up – literally. You’ll lead site teams, ensure health & safety standards are met, and keep projects running to time, budget, and specification.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage on-site operations for groundwork projects (drainage, foundations, earthworks, etc.)

* Coordinate with subcontractors, site operatives, and suppliers

* Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations

* Report progress to Contracts Managers and Directors

* Maintain site records and documentation

* Ensure high standards of quality and efficiency

* Willingness to travel to sites across the region as required

What We're Looking For:

* Proven experience in a Site Manager or Foreman role within groundworks or civil engineering

* Strong understanding of construction methods, health & safety, and site coordination

* Valid SMSTS

* CSCS

* First Aid qualification

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

* Flexibility to travel to sites as needed
