Recovery & Payments Officer

Permanent Full time (Part-time hours' will be considered)

PCC are continually improving their services to the public resulting in a number of changes which you as a Senior Recovery & Payments Officer will be able to contribute to and support.

As Senior Revenue and Payments Officer you will ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with ASC policy and the Care Act, communicate effectively with providers and clients and all key stakeholders on a regular basis, in writing and verbally. To update the ASC system and the finance system as required & to deal with revenue (recovery) and payment queries from clients and other parties.

You will deputise for the revenue and payments team leader (where required), undertake day to day revenue (recovery) work and payments work (with the focus on the former) in respect of the clients of Peterborough City Council who are in receipt of adult social care (both homecare and residential) and ensure recovery documents are issued in accordance with the council’s agreed recovery cycle and to use all available recovery tools to maximise debt collection. To support the creation of all business-critical ASC interface files (including those for direct payments)

**What you will need**

You will need experience working in debt recovery and have the ability to analyse different types of data and problem solve. Experience of working in Adult Social Care is advantageous but not essential.

You must have excellent customer Service skills and be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) with 5 passes at grade C or above including English and Maths (A)
