Seven Resourcing are looking for 2 temporary Revenues Officers to work with Northumberland County Council. These positions are initially for a period of 3 months and are completely remote. The hourly rate is £26.00 (paid to you via an umbrella company). The Council are recruiting for 'Home-Based' Revenues Officers on temporary contracts whilst they undergoing a period of change. It is essential the applicants have experience of Northgate (NEC) Revenues & Benefits Software, and Council Tax registration, billing and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
Duties will include dealing with customers on the telephone and also working from the document management system.

Progressing recovery of debts at summons stage and beyond including (including but not limited to):

- Change of addresses and other changes of circumstances;
- Determinations Discount and exemptions;
- Deaths
- Setting up and amending Direct Debits;
- Actioning BACS amendments;
- Actioning Direct Debit recalls in order to understand the customer’s circumstances and establish an appropriate payment method going forward;
- Proactively identifying and processing refunds in a timely manner;
- Updating accounts following re-banding by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA);
- Gathering and making determinations upon information relating to sole and main residency;
- Supporting discount reviews, e.g. SPD / Second Homes.
- Escalating recovery action
- Processing and monitoring attachments of earnings/benefits;
- Monitoring payment arrangements;
Applicant Requirements:

- Qualifications: N/A.
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and references covering the last 2 years.
- Hours: 37 hours p/w.
