1st Line SOC Analyst

Exponential-e is a Cloud, Connectivity and Communications pioneer. We are recruiting for the role of a 1st Line SOC Analyst in the 24/7 Cyber Security Operations Centre team. Your day will primarily consist of providing threat/vulnerability analysis andsecurity logs for a large number of security devices. You will provide Incident Response support when your analysis confirms a threat.
As a 1st Line SOC Analyst, it will be your responsibility to analyse and respond to undisclosed hardware and software vulnerabilities. Acting as the 'security advisors’ for our customers and coordinating with Intel analysts and other teams as required.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- IDS monitoring and analysis
- Network traffic and log analysis
- Insider threat and APT detection
- Malware analysis and forensics

**Knowledge and Experience required**:
- Passion for working in the Cyber Security field and eager to learn and progress
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner
- Flexible approach to work with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work in a team with little supervision using own initiative
- Responsible and willing to take ownership
- Positive and professional attitude
**Desirable skills**:
- Studying a Cyber Security degree
- Scripting/coding skills
- Cyber Security Certification

**Salary**: £23,000 + 10% shift allowance
**Hours**: 24/7 shift pattern: 2 days on (7am - 7pm), 2 nights on (7pm - 7am), 4 days off.
