**What's the opportunity**

Reporting to the Vice President of Vehicle Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy and running a comprehensive homologation and certification process including developing the process. You will be overseeing the entire process from initial assessment to final certification ensuring that all approvals are obtained effectively and efficiently.

**What you will do**:

- Building, establishing and leading the Homologation Team
- Defining and implementing of comprehensive whole vehicle homologation strategy
- Management of homologation & certification projects
- Planning & coordinating of all necessary activities for type testing & approval with internal & external stakeholders, organizations & committees
- Participating and leading in committees & regulatory committee events to identify regulatory requirements
- Incorporating of the type approval requirements into the vehicle specifications

**Who you are**:

- Experience in a position demonstrating vehicle safety / powertrain compliance or territory homologation, ideally automotive industry
- Experience in conformity of production testing and demonstration
- Experience and confidence in dealing with legislation and regulatory authorities.
- Degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline is preferred.
- Logical and analytical thinking with the ability to explain and/or simplify complex technical information and compliance strategies.
- Strong project and budget management skills
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems and documentation management regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of approval criteria, type testing and legal requirements, especially for autonomous vehicles
