**Description of role and key responsibilities**

We are looking to recruit an organised individual with a growth mindset to join our Guernsey based team of experienced Client Services staff who are key in supporting the business to achieve its strategic objectives.

They will also have the ability to challenge processes and procedures then suggest and help implement improvements, whilst maintaining controls.

**Role definition**:

- To enable our clients to achieve their goals by making the banking experience simple, personal, efficient and stress free;
- Deal with all aspects of client servicing for clients in the Private Client book;
- Assist Private Client Service team with Relationship Management duties of Group, staff, and Rest of world client books, including but not limited to:

- Transaction monitoring
- Account opening
- Client reviews
- To ensure that service delivery to clients is an exceptional client experience and puts the client at the centre of everything we do;
- Maintain and build excellent relationships with clients and other teams in the bank;
- Operate in a risk conscious environment;
- Read, understand and adhere to all Investec Bank Channel Island policies - including but not limited to the Conduct, Compliance and Financial Crime policies;
- Maintain a strong awareness and adherence to all the relevant procedures for Private Client Services;
- To attend and complete all required training;
- Maintain a strong awareness of the regulatory responsibilities of the team;

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deal with client enquiries and instructions in a timely and efficient manner, including payments, debit card, online issues and static data changes;
- Accurately process client instructions relating to foreign exchange and execution only security trades ensuring that no advice is given at any time;
- Identify any income opportunities with the Investec Group through your interaction with clients/potential clients/Group colleagues;
- Ensure online banking is available to all clients and persuade users to regularly use the site for viewing, payments and download the Investec App;
- Make recommendations to improve the process and documentation/checklists of any aspect relating to the private client services team;
- To carry out ad hoc tasks as required from time to time and to own related projects that arise from time to time;

**Knowledge**:

- Excellent knowledge of latest Microsoft Office Programmes;
- A detailed knowledge of the operations of the bank and the environment (both regulatory and physical) in which it operates;
- A detailed knowledge of banking processes and a good understanding of the financial markets, including treasury;
- A good understanding of investments in general and the wealth management service offered by Investec Wealth & Investments;
- A detailed knowledge of account opening requirements for Private Clients and their trust and company structures together with the regulations applicable to the ongoing management of a banking relationship.

**Qualifications and experience**
- At least 3 years relevant banking experience;
- Recognised professional qualification in banking or similar preferred;
