**Your Role & Team**
Based within the Public Health Directorate and reporting to the Consultant in Public health, you will be a highly motivated and committed clinical leader who can bring visionary leadership in the shaping and delivery of high-quality public health nursing services as part of our place-based system. With close interfaces with NELC colleagues in our Children’s Services Directorate, and our local Health and Care Partnership you will further develop and transform our health visiting and school nursing services, enabling you to maximise opportunities to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. We have been selected as one of the Local Authorities to develop and deliver the national Family Hubs and Start for Life Programme, which provides significant opportunities for transforming the services and support we offer to families.
This exciting post gives you an opportunity to use your expertise and skills to shape and oversee delivery of high-quality services, supported by a senior management team responsible for day-to-day management of the services, as well as contribute strategically at local and ICB levels, to improve outcomes for children, young people and families and tackle health inequalities.
You will be responsible for delivering a service culture where quality improvement, transformation, service development and learning are driven by service user and staff voice, intelligence and evidence. You will establish and grow a motivated workforce, with appropriate skill mix, and be highly committed to professional development.
You will need to ensure close working with colleagues in health, public health, social care and education and, as a senior public health nurse, offer professional specialist advice as appropriate to colleagues and relevant forums.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Provide visionary leadership to transform Health Visiting and School Nursing services and ensure relevant interfaces within a place-based system.
- Ensure delivery of an annual service plan, clinical governance plan, workforce development plan, and finance plan alongside performance management arrangements.
- Accountable for the delivery of the school-based immunisation programmes, Child Health Information Service, and appropriate safeguarding arrangements.
- Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively to improve patient and population health.
- Ensure that clinical governance and compliance and performance is embedded within services and their culture.
- Analyse, interpret and implement relevant national policy, guidance and evidence and various data sources.
