**Job Purpose**

To develop and deliver an exciting and engaging programme of music and creative media activities that will stimulate, develop and provide positive outcomes for children and young people aged 5 to 21.

**Main Responsibilities**
- To plan, deliver and evaluate of music and creative media activities
- To regularly help plan, promote and produce high quality events within Blackburn Youth zone and the local community to showcase young people’s talents.
- To become part of a forward thinking, innovative and motivated music and media team and assist with the delivery of all aspects of music and media sessions with young people.
- To ensure that the music and creative media programme is high quality, meets the needs of the young people and helps them to develop their musical talents;
- To motivate, encourage and support young people to try music and creative media activities and participate fully in sessions;
- To break down any barriers to young people participating in the music and creative media based programme of activities;
- To become part of sessional staffing requirements for the music and creative media activities;
- To support volunteers in sessions, coaching them to achieve their full potential within their given roles;
- To deal with any problems that arise during Youth Zone sessions;
- To ensure that the members maintain a high standard of behaviour and discipline during sessions;
- To ensure the participation of young people in activities and that their ideas contribute fully in the delivery and evaluation of activities;
- To promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times;
- To be an active member of the team and operate in line with the values and vision of Blackburn Youth Zone.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 7 per week

**Salary**: Up to £15.00 per hour
