Landlord Liaison Officer

Our Client is seeking to recruit a Landlord Liaison Officer to work as part of the Housing Options team to maximise the contribution that the private rented sector can make to meet housing needs. The post holder will have excellent negotiation skills andwill be required to engage with, and establish strong working relationships with landlords, managing and letting agencies in the private rented sector. They will be the primary liaison point for landlords wising to work in partnership with the Council, andwill search for and secure available private rented vacancies for use by potentially homeless households.
A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service is an essential requirement of this role, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment.
A full current UK driving licence is essential, as the post holder will be required to carry out home visits. Reasonable adjustments can be made for those who are unable to drive due to a disability.
The hours of work for this position are 37 per week, working Monday to Friday, but there may be some occasional evening requirements. The Council currently operates a Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. This post is currently basedat Morecambe Town Hall but the post holder will sometimes operate from other Council sites within the District and may need to travel elsewhere in the County as required.
Earlier this year they unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
