**Child Outcomes for Mothers Facing Trial (COMFT)**

Centre for Child and Family Justice Research at Lancaster University (Sociology)

The Centre for Child and Family Justice Research at Lancaster University is looking to recruit a self-motivated and highly organised Project Officer to support a programme of research funded by the ESRC, which is focused on women’s cross-justice experience, and the impact on outcomes for children.

The programme of work is being completed by Lancaster University and Swansea University, in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the leading national charity, Birth Companions. The project will start on the 1st of January 2025, will last for 24 months, and conclude on the 31st of December 2026.

**The Project Officer role**

Duties will include workplan management, including the scheduling and recording of project team meetings and actions, advisory group meetings and liaison meetings with external stakeholders. The Project Officer will also play a key role in communications and engagement and must have excellent organisational and communication skills. Training and development opportunities will be available to the post holder.

You will join us on a indefinite with an end date contract however, the role remains contingent on external funding which, at this time is due to come to an end on the 31st December 2026.

The post is available part-time at 7.5 hours per week or 0.2FTE.
