**Full job description**

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our friendly team based in the North East of England carrying out our tractor specialist duties.

The role is to join our team assisting in the maintenance of grounds such as schools and industrial sites in and around the local areas.

An Enhanced DBS Disclosure check will be carried out after employment to ensure we meet our safeguarding requirements.

Main responsibilities:
The position is to work independently providing grass cutting to a variety of sites in the local area using large machinery.

A minimum of 2 years tractor driving is essential.

A full UK driving license is an essential requirement.

- Able to drive and provide general daily maintenance and upkeep of a tractor.

- Have a basic understanding of power tools and their safe operation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications, skills and experience:
Existing grounds maintenance experience is preferable but not essential.
- Hold a full UK driving license
- Access to a vehicle for the commute to and from work. A vehicle will be provided during working hours.
- Experience handling and operating garden machinery and large maintenance machinery is advantageous.

This role is an in person position, travelling within the Northumberland, Durham, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, and South Tyneside areas.
