**PRIMARY TEACHING ASSISTANT**

**FULL TIME (08:30 - 15:30)**

**BLACKWOOD (NP12)**

**£10.77p/h**

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary school in the Blackwood area. The school emphasizes the importance of encouraging a safe and exciting learning environment for all staff and pupils, and they are excitedto welcome a new member to the team. Receiving a ‘good’ Estyn report, the educational development of the children is at the centre of the school’s priorities.

This role will be working in a unit of mixed aged children with various Additional Learning Needs. The suitable individual will be nurturing and patient, and will work closely with the children to stimulate learning and build a trusting relationship.

**What the Teaching Assistant will need**:

- Enhanced child only Disclosure and Barring Service certificate (DBS)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- 2 x professional references

**_Teaching Personnel can assist with obtaining a DBS and registration with the EWC_**

**Role responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting with classroom preparation
- Supporting children with various additional learning needs
- Assisting the children with children with reading and class work
- Attending school trips and supporting with lunch time supervision
