We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain food safety standards will contribute significantly to our café's success.
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are fresh and presented attractively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including workstations and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Continuously learn about new products and techniques to enhance customer experience.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
