**Job Overview**
**Accounts Assistant (School Leaver Position - College Funded Day Release)**

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Accounts Assistant** to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a **school leaver** who is eager to begin their career in finance while studying towards a professional qualification through a **funded college day release programme**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the management of accounts payable, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
- Learn and use accounting software (such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero) to support financial operations.
- Help the team prepare reports and support month-end processes.
- Maintain filing systems for financial documents and correspondence.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team.

What We’re Looking For
- A keen interest in pursuing a career in finance and accounting.
- Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Confident communicator with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- GCSEs / Highers (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
