**Purpose of Role**

Responsible for processing & maintaining the purchase Ledger and a backup for Sales Ledger invoice processing & credit control.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Purchase ledger invoice processing** - Managing purchase ledger Inbox, following the paperless workflow of posting invoices.
- **Purchase invoicing queries** - Reviewing approvals, matching invoices to goods / services received to purchase orders, resolve queries with Operations Team.
- **Setup New Supplier Accounts** - Setting up new supplier accounts in ERP system, obtaining supplier assessment records from Operations, verifying bank details, and transferring these records to the Finance area.
- **Staff Expenses Processing. **Expenses are submitted through the cloud & need to be monitored & chased to ensure
- **Review & prepare Aged Creditor reports**, investigate anomalies, and highlight any remaining issues prior to month end closure.
- **Prepare Supplier & Staff Expense Payments.**:

- **Checking supplier statements** to our records, chasing missing invoices/credit notes.
- **Support & cover Sales Ledger** processing & credit control - invoicing and customer queries.
- **Assist and support the Finance Team** as required & help with ad hoc tasks as necessary.

**Skills & Attributes**
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and build good working relationships
- Manage own work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Work as part of a team and communicate well with all areas of the Company
- Good IT skills including Excel
- Attention to detail
- Able to deal with change and be prepared to help other areas of the business as & when needed.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Strong background in purchase ledger, ideally in the manufacturing sector
- Previous experience of Access Dimensions desirable but not essential

**Education & Qualifications**
- 5 GCSE’s including English and Mathematics
