We are wanting staff to support our service users in the Manchester area. We are expanding the area that we work in and so need new members of the team to join us to continue to provide the very best level of support to the amazing people we support. Our service user all live in single occupancy Homes with a mixture of support staff working 12-hour shifts. You will be working in the persons home providing the highest level of support and care.

You will provide emotional and practical support to the Individuals we support support. Support, assist and promote personal care needs in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
Medication is a important responsibility that you will be trained to handle and ensure all aspects of medication handling is as per CQC requirements.
You will also enable service users to achieve independence as far as possible in all areas of their life by providing appropriate information, opportunity, training, and support.
**Provide a safe, comfortable and supportive home for the individuals we support.**
**Assist the individuals we support to present themselves as valued members of the local community.**
**Ensure that the rights of the people we support are always protected and respected.**
**Liaise with other professionals on behalf of the individuals we support.**
**Participate in the opportunities provided for training and development.**
You are required to completed a care certificate in the first 12 weeks of the role if you have not already completed this. You will then be enrolled to work towards and gain your level 3 in Health and social care if you do not already have this qualification. This is a requirement of all staff.
**Work within, and promote, the policies and procedures of people in action.**
**Be an active member of the Service team.**
- Help cover the work of the team, during absence, vacancies, of when a colleague is under pressure.
- Liaise and coordinate with other team members to provide a cohesive, high quality service and ensure that CQC legislation and guidelines are followed.
- Participate in and contribute to team meetings.
- Share with other team member’s previous experience, skills and knowledge, which may be relevant to the team in providing its service.
- Be supportive, respectful and empathic to service users, colleagues and visitors.
