**About the Role**
Wood Innovations are looking to recruit a Credit Controller (Maternity Cover) who can manage and maintain the company's credit and debt collection processes. The role will require a detail-oriented, organised individual who can use their own initiative to identify and mitigate credit risk, while ensuring timely payment of invoices and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
**Duties will include but are not limited to**:
- Responsibility for each Account on the Sales Ledgers ensuring all information is up to date.
- Proactively manage customer payments, in accordance with company policy.
- Allocation of receipts on system.
- Liaise with management and sales team regarding account updates.
- Ensure customer queries are responded to in a timely manner.
- Establish good working relationships with all customers.
- Plan and lead monthly credit control meetings.
- Prepare and distribute weekly credit control reports.
- Assisting with a wide variety of other credit control processes and procedures.
- Adhoc office duties.
**Other Duties**
- Assist all areas where necessary across the business in support of company-wide objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- To work effectively with other teams and departments.
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
**Essential**
- Experience of working in a credit control or customer accounts environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to problem solve and work under own initiative.
- Proficient in MS Office to include Excel.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
- Reporting to the Financial Controller & Senior Management team.
- Must have minimum of GCSE Grade B in English & Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise.
- Strong analytical skills, business savvy and ability to multitask.
- Experience in working successfully with third party suppliers/agencies.
- Self-motivated and able to drive projects forward autonomously.
- Have full driving licence and access to own car.
**Desirable**
- At least 2 years of experience using an ERP system to effectively manage Customer information.
- Experience with voice over IP telephone system.
