Health Care Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Unscheduled Care Division of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for caring, enthusiastic, motivated individuals. If you are looking for new challenges this may be the opportunity for you. You will be expected to work as part of a Multidisciplinary Team and be actively involved in providing high standards of quality care. You will also be expected to demonstrate a high level of nursing assessment and clinical care skills by supporting Band 5 nurses and other Band 2 HCSW’s. In addition you will be required to provide support and advice to patients and their families/carers.
The post holder will work as part of a team that provides health care services to patients within an Adult Inpatient department/ward, focusing on the direct needs of service users undergoing healthcare treatments.
The post holder is expected to work within clinical competencies with supporting base knowledge. You will be expected to work within defined protocols, adhering to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales under the direction and close supervision of and reporting to a registered nurse.
Health Care Support Workers
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
