SEND Teaching Assistant - Kendal - Part Time

Sense Education is seeking a compassionate and patient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Kendal, working with pupils aged 3 to 19. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) by helping them grow in confidence and achieve their individual goals.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students across a range of age groups. Your role will include working closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning experiences, assisting with individualised education plans, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment. You will support students with varying needs, helping them to build skills for both academic and personal growth.
**Skills, qualities and qualifications**
- A strong passion for working with young people and supporting their learning journey.
- Patience, understanding, and a nurturing approach toward students with SEND.
- Ideally, experience working with SEND students and familiarity with strategies to support a range of additional needs.
- Teaching Assistant (TA) qualification or relevant experience is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills and an ability to work well within a dedicated team.
**School and Logistics**:
- Based in a specialist SEND provision in Kendal.
- Part-time role with working hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
