**What You Will Be Doing?**

Our Credit Controller will be responsible for mitigating risks and maximising profits by ensuring credit issued by the company is paid in full and on time. You will continually look for ways to make the debt collecting process more accessible, more punctual, and beneficial for both the company and the client. You’ll also support the company with future decisions by reporting and analysing current financial activity within the company.
- Checking customer’s credit and approving or denying it, based on industry standards
- Negotiating payment plans and setting up terms and conditions
- Reconciling incoming payments
- Setting up repayments and working with Debt Counsellors
- Ensuring customers pay on time and charge them for overdue invoices
- Starting legal proceedings if clients do not pay their debts on time
- Liaising with Solicitors and Bailiffs
- Maintaining accurate records
- Responding to client inquiries.
- Processing invoices
- Preparing statements and reports for the company accountant
- Liaising with customers and the sales team

- Two years credit controller in a similar Role
- IT literate and good knowledge Microsoft Office
- Passion for credit control and results-driven
- Excellent communication skills and confident communicating with all stakeholders to ensure good working relationships
- Confident telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills with a good team spirit
- Eager to learn with an adaptable and willing attitude and have the drive to truly develop career
- Autonomous yet happy to work as a team
- Positive and flexible approach to work
- Previous use of finance systems, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
