Reportingto a newly appointed HR Director and forming part of the new look HR team, this role will support one of the UK business' key locations and will play a key role in supporting the HR Director.
HR Business Partner
Up to £55,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
Wakefield
Hybrid (3 days on site)
Travel 2/3 days a month to other sites or HO
The business operates several sites across the UK, totalling a headcount of about 650 - of which almost a third sit within your business area. A mix of skilled and unskilled roles, operational and office functions, you'll find a varied workforce with an establishedmanagement team.
Experience in working closely with senior management, driving a culture of performance and accountability, and developing a holistic approach to employee engagement will be key to success in this role.
The HR Director has a sprawling strategy and a list of projects and initiatives to deliver over the next 2 years - this, alongside the growth strategy, will mean that you will be required to split your time between managing the site HR and working on severalprojects. You can expect to be leading on projects in the reward/benchmarking space, as well as implementation and onboarding of new benefits and occ health providers.
The HRD is a huge advocate or HR providing a compassionate and pragmatic HR service - knowing how and when the policy should be enforced and also when it is perhaps not the right course of action. As an organisation, they have strong values and a culture ofrespect - it is essential that you are able to display values that align and seek to further the business through the nurturing of its people and through providing a work environment where staff feel valued. You'll need to have strong generalist experience,ideally in a fast paced, operational business - logistics, manufacturing, engineering being the most closely relevant.
