**Raw Materials Controller**

**Sandtoft, North Lincolnshire DN8 5SY**

**Our role**

Reporting directly to the Site Plant Manager you will maintain the inventory records of WB raw materials and consolidated stock through regular cycle counting in accordance with our published policy for Sandtoft site. The ordering of raw materials and consumable goods to ensure that production is protected by ensuring safety stocks are in place at all times. Monitor maximum stock figures in accordance with physical capacities and locations of our factories and storage areas.

Manage deliveries of raw materials and collections effectively and ensure all storage areas are organised and well managed. Manage the Site Services team on site. The responsibility for maintenance of site standards, inclusive of specified contractors and activities under the Site Services remit. Inclusive of ownership for COSHH responsibilities on site.

Take a lead role in improvement projects on site to drive improvement initiatives which will deliver benefits to site in terms of H&S, quality, cost and environment.

Provide cover for the QA function on site when required.

**What You’ll Do**
- To ensure all raw materials, consumables and consolidated stock at Sandtoft are cycle counted in accordance with our published Cycle Counting Policy whilst maintaining information and documentation required for reporting and auditability.
- To ensure that all documentation relating to stock discrepancies and stock adjustments are completed within set timeframes and accurately cross checked to the count sheets prior to issuing to the Stock Control Manager/Lead Financial Controller.
- To ensure that you provide a helpful and efficient service to other department when requested to perform a stock check.
- To be fully responsible for maintaining sufficient and adequate raw materials and consumable on site to ensure production is adequately protected with safety stocks..
- To conduct and control ordering of raw materials on SAP in a timely manner ensuring production schedules, lead times and safety stock holding are considered.
- To effectively manage the Site Services function and take accountability for ensuring all aspects of Site Services remit is fulfilled inclusive of contractor management and activities on site. Inclusive of COSHH ownership on site.
- To lead and drive improvement projects and processes on site to deliver benefits to the business in terms of H&S, Quality, Cost and Environment. To become a CI / process expect on site for key elements required.
- In all of the above, to encourage and attribute to an environment of continuous improvement both within and outside Operations and to embrace such improvements and changes to your role, which improve the role and/or site.

Other areas of responsibility include:

- Arrangement of and management of goods receipts and all internal and external Plant to Plant transfers in SAP.
- To effectively manage local stock holdings of consumable items used in production, including safety stocks. Working closely with the Operations team to ensure that they have sufficient supplies of consumables for ad hoc activities.
- Monitor raw material usage and work with the teams to identify ways of improving yield/reducing wastage of key raw material items.
- Work closely with procurement, including regular meetings, to discuss any supply chain issues with raw materials and escalate any issues identified.
- Ensure that stock rotation is in place where appropriate and work with the production teams to ensure the stock rotation requirements are followed.
- Ensure waste/ empty containers and packaging materials are disposed of correctly on site to ensure that costs are managed effectively and waste routes are as efficient as possible. Work with the production teams to ensure that the correct processes and methods are followed.

**What You’ll Bring**
- Experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries
- 3-5yrs experience working in a manufacturing environment with a safety-first culture is essential
- Prior experience of stock control, stock counting, raw material ordering processes
- IT skills - working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & OutlookStrong organisational & planning abilities
- A high level of attention to detail
- Ability to lead a team to drive improvements
- 1-2yrs prior experience of leading a small team
- **Desirable**:

- Prior experience SAP or similar ERP systems
- Prior experience of COSHH systems and processes
- Knowledge of CI processes and tools

**Hours of Work**: 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday**
