Be one of our technical experts, providing specialized service and support for EXENT® system, leveraging product knowledge and technical competency to enable our customers to improve multiple myeloma patient outcomes.
**This role has up to 50% International Travel**
**The Role**
Applications Specialist will train and certify end-user customers on the EXENT® system - providing standard, advanced and refresher training courses either at one of our Centers of Excellence or at the customer laboratory.
Create and contribute to the on-going development and delivery of EXENT® Applications Specialist training, certification and competency programs for other members of the Technical Support Group globally. This will require co-visits to customer locations and subsidiary offices.
Be part of a team that support the implementation of the EXENT® system into the customer laboratory - providing hypercare for customers and integration of the overall solution including supporting with LIS requirements.
Collaborate with technical functions both at Global Services and in the regions to provide timely and effective technical support to customers (end-users) and colleagues - includes remote access support and technical investigation work to diagnose faults and restore full system functionality.
The role will require a high degree of competency and product knowledge on the EXENT® system (MALDI TOF Mass Spec, automated MALDI plate preparation and associated software systems). There is a requirement to leverage that knowledge to support the development of globally-approved service processes, EXENT® knowledge articles and relevant technical guides.
Leverage technical competency and customer-facing skills to demonstrate the systems, software and products during VIP demonstrations, customer insight days and other company-led and marketing events.
As a system expert, the Global Applications Specialist will act as the ‘voice of customer’ in projects that may impact the utilization of products and services at the customer laboratory. This includes but is not limited to support with software and system(s) development projects.
- Degree (or equivalent) in life science or other science related field or an equivalent engineering degree qualification or demonstrable scientific experience.
- Experience in a scientific or engineering discipline. (eg. Clinical / research laboratories / electronics / biotechnology / medical devices)
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused with good communication skills
- Fluency in English - both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel locally and internationally at short notice
