**Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Networks and Telecoms**
**Based in South East London with WFH options**
**Up to £66,000 DoE + Great Benefits Package + Pension**

A great opportunity to work in the public sector for local government in South East London.
Reporting directly into the Head of Technology you and your team will be tasked with the running of the infrastructure services, ensuring high levels of reliability, security and availability. This includes but isn't limited too developing, configuring, maintaining,all new and existing network hardware/software, communication links and shared platforms.
Ideally, you will have earned your stripes as a Network Engineer and then earned impressive battle scars as a Network Lead and/or Senior Engineer.
- The right to work in the UK
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Managerial experience in a similar role
- In depth knowledge of Networks and Telecoms
**To secure the role you will**:
- Be influential describing the evolution of the whole digital and innovation portfolio
- Need to be an advocate of documentation being able to produce clear and concise information through the solutions process from inception to completion
- Work with others to plan and implement highly complex infrastructure projects managing finances and risk along the way
- Manage relationships with suppliers, making sure services and products are delivered and aligned to industry best practice and contractual requirements
- Define and justify network service solutions and build a team to deploy those solutions
- Need to ensure business requirements are translated into Network Solutions which align with strategy, standards, and industry best practices for the business.
- Oversee the work of more junior members of staff, as well as line management and career development. Set behavioural standards and good practice; take responsibility for professional development of your team and manage performance robustly

**Highly Desirable Certifications**:
- CCIE
