**Your Role**

The role of Officer is to be responsible for providing non-complex advice and resolution to the business, ensuring that it is able to meet its regulatory and legal obligations.

The Officer will support management in their communications with senior employees of the business; this will involve support in providing advice, reports and regulatory guidance to those individuals as and where required.

The Officer may also assist Business Partners with a particular business areas.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Liaising with fee earners and partners within IM to investigate and resolve matters.
- Identifying and reporting any potential compliance or reputational concerns to a Senior Officer.
- Developing a good understanding of Legal Ombudsman scheme rules and guidance.
- Has the ability to deal with complex queries with guidance and supervision
- Participating and providing input and suggestions to the wider firm and General Counsel Team projects.
- Dealing with payment processes within relevant authorities.
- Recording complaints and maintain complaint records on internal systems.
- Maintaining and updating electronic diary to ensure deadlines are met.
- Investigating complaints and produce written response in line with complaints procedure.

**What We're Looking For**
- Good communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Previous experience in a Compliance or in-house legal function, with an awareness of legal case management systems.
- Experience in complaint handling and working within a pressurised environment and to tight schedules.
- Professional telephone and face-to-face manner.
- Ability to work under pressure, both within a team and individually.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the capacity to organise and prioritise workload.
