**The busy distribution operation is responsible for receiving inbound, stock rotations, picking, loading of all 40 x 3.5 tonne refrigerated vehicles, managing drivers checking in procedures and ensuring that all routes leave the yard on time and deliveries are made to customers on time and in full first time.**

**The Logistics planner will support the operation by efficiently planning via our state-of-the-art TMS system, Max Optra helping to ensure all deliveries and collections are on time and in full first time, whilst maximising vehicle utilisation and managing profitability of rounds.**

**The planner will also be responsible for maintaining and developing strong relationships with the distribution team, drivers and wider team.**

**Key Areas of Responsibility, Activities & Tasks Involved**

**Headline Area**

Route planning using our TMS system, Max Optra to ensure all routes are scheduled and optimised daily post the 1pm order cutoff

Manpower planning to ensure drivers are allocated correctly

Training and support of drivers to ensure system is used correctly

Contingency planning to ensure all deliveries are met on time and in full to meet SLA’s

Operational and manpower budget controlled whilst planning to support route optimisation and profitability.

Maintain and update TLS systems and ensure relevant updates are made and communicated.

Service delivery KPIS, Customers contract SLAs and 100% deliveries met

Vehicle and driver compliance

Daily communication with drivers and operational team on amendments and optimisation requirements.

New telematics rollout project management

Maintenance of PDAs

KPIs met to improve efficiency of business and make cost savings

Continuous improvement of operational effectiveness with strategic guidance from SMT

Escalate issues in a timely manner to relevant senior staff

Company systems used correctly

Legal requirements adhered to with regards to transport legislation and any offenses are communicated to drivers and action taken if appropriate.

**Salary**: £21,047.60-£27,000.00 per year
