**Job Overview**
This is an exciting time for Boys & Girls Clubs with innovative new projects and the expansion and development of our core services.

The main purpose of this post is to lead on communications in the organisation, promote charitable activities through innovative methods and capture impact across children, young people, volunteers and youth workers.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- **Use, maintain and develop the Organisation's information and communication systems in-keeping with policy and management priorities e. g. website, Salesforce CRM system and our e-circular news bulletin that is sent fortnightly to our members.**:

- **Ensure the Organisation's policy and practice for the storage, handling and processing of data and personal information is compliant with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).**:

- **Maintain the ICT systems of the Organisation through the effective use of Microsoft Office Applications e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher.**:

- **Maintain and develop the organisation’s Cloud-based database (Salesforce) and record keeping/filing systems e.g., membership, contact and programme records, correspondence etc.**:

- **Use Canva and other relevant software to develop materials and support marketing and promotional activities, publications, external communications, press releases etc. This includes supporting the formatting of learning materials and resources to support youth work delivery.**:

- **Spearhead BGC communications through management of our website, social media channels, and design innovative materials to promote charitable activities.**:

- **To support the development of our membership through ongoing communication and providing support when necessary. Deal effectively with day-to-day membership queries and escalate complex queries to Line Manager**:

- **Where appropriate, support the servicing and reporting of meetings, seminars, conferences for members and to support and engage in other organisational activities as directed through line management.**:

- **Engage with members to promote trainings, events, projects, programmes and general service involvement.**:

- **Work closely with the collective staff team to come up with innovative ways to demonstrate impact and capture outcomes i.e., organising videos, testimonials, coordinating case studies etc.**:

- **Maintain records of staff training, meetings, office attendance e.g. Holidays & Sick leave and manage telephone & postal records and reception area.**:

- **As Boys & Girls Clubs is a growing organisation, the detail of your daily tasks will inevitably change over time. Please note that while all efforts are made to include the main responsibilities, you may, from time to time be required to undertake activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by the management.**

**Education & Experience**:
**A minimum of a level 3 qualification in a communications, marketing or administrative related discipline.**

**Or**

**3 years’ experience of working in communications in a paid capacity.**

**Experience & Knowledge**:
**2 years’ experience of involvement in an administrative role.**

**2 years’ experience and track record of designing, delivering or implementing communications in an organisational setting.**

**A good understanding of the community and voluntary sector, especially the youth sector.**

**Skills and abilities**:
**Knowledge of ICT with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages and digital platforms.**

**Knowledge and experience of using Canva or other software packages to engage service users.**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £22,458.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 14 per week
