Head of Finance Corporate Learning

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance who will support the growth and improve client profitability and financial control for a c.£115m Corporate Learning business. This is a growth business on the back of the Government’s levelling up and skills agenda and private sector skill shortages.

Location - home based

Key clients include Lloyds, NatWest, MOD, MOJ, NHS, Ford, BMW.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Provides business partnering support to the MD Corporate Learning and their ELT
- Leadership of finance team including offshore team
- Support to growth and business profit improvement activities including all bids and Learning Ecosystem deployment
- All financial aspects of contract cost improvement and client change management.
- Lead monthly consolidated forecasting and annual business planning processes for market sector including simpifying and standardising reporting and forecasting across the new consolidated business
- Ownership of reporting including producing weekly flash, month end and business reviews reports - culminating in presenting at monthly business review
- Take full ownership for the integrity and accuracy for the consolidated business unit P&L and Pillar balance sheet
- Own working capital and cash for consolidated business unit, providing accurate forecasts on a monthly basis and ensuring tight control of work in progress & debt
- Liaise with the Division / Group teams (consolidation, tax, audit and reporting teams) and respond to ad-hoc and routine queries on time
- Liaison with Client team over forecasts - implement process improvements to increase forecasting accuracy
- Liaising with BI over KPI dashboard enhancement and data enrichment

**What we’re looking for**:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong technical finance background post qualification
- Experience of client-side discussions related to contractual shaping
- Experience of leading finance improvement projects and driving simplification in ways of working
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written with ability to prepare highly professional presentations to senior management
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesise complex data and information
- Confident to work with and challenge senior business executives credibly, speak truth to power and shape the future direction
- Able to influence decision making process through clear presentation of financials
- Expert demonstrator and champion of Leadership Standards and Values
- Ability to work and manage effectively in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
