Service Desk Team Leader

As a hands-on Service Desk Team Leader, you will lead and develop a service desk team responsible for the support and maturing of IT Infrastructure services and processes.
You will be joining the IT Department at an integral time in the growth of the business. As the Operations function grows, there is an opportunity to assist in the growth of the team and ultimately move into more senior technical or leadership positions.
The Service Desk Team Leader will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery and ongoing support operations for Ultimate Performance’s global estate, including M365 platform, network services, voice and collaboration services, U.P.’s proprietary software, and Service Desk Support operations. Project delivery is a key part of the position, therefore the role has high dependencies on both technical and customer-facing skills, so you can successfully execute the technical elements whilst maintaining good communication and visibility throughout.
**Requirements**:
- Strong experience deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 Enterprise technologies, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Yammer, Intune, Endpoint Security, PowerApps, Power Automate etc.
- Demonstrable experience deploying and administering Windows 10 based modern workplace environments
- A strong working knowledge of Active Directory, domain environments
- Good understanding of network fundamentals and principles
- Competent in managing environments with PowerShell and implementing automation through scripting
- At least 5 years working in ITSM or ITIL based service desk environments
- Experience supporting a distributed user base spanning multiple sites and countries
- Need to have been involved with project based delivery and understand Project Management disciplines
- Excellent communication skills, confident in liaising with all levels of management, as well as external customers and suppliers
- The ability to quickly learn new products and services
- Have a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Experience in the creation and review of technical documentation
- Able to work effectively as an individual or as part of a team, particularly in a project environment
- Able to work to tight deadlines and deliver on schedule
- Excellent attention to detail
