**Salary**: £50,702 to £56,336 per annum (dependent on skills and experience).

STFC (part of UK Research and Innovation) are seeking an Operations Manager to manage the operations, contractual and financial activities of the Business Incubation team at our Daresbury Campus.
You will design and implement processes and procedures that ensure business incubation activities run efficiently and effectively. You will oversee operations and contractual arrangements for tenant laboratories and tenant access to facilities and businesssupport programmes, ensuring financial and contractual oversight and compliance.
You will be responsible for the incubation support team which includes administrators and technicians with your team of administrators based across 2 sites (Daresbury and Harwell). You will also support the Head of Business Incubation with the implementationof growth and development plans.
This role requires the ability to travel in the UK and potentially abroad.
**To succeed in this role, you will have**:
- Degree level education or equivalent industry experience
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to provide direction
- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Practical knowledge of budgeting and finance
- Experience of statistical analysis and data processing
- Experience of lease agreements, procurement and service contracts
- Credibility with senior level and director level audiences
- Highly developed interpersonal and networking skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills; with the ability to present value propositions to customers, stakeholders or investors
- Good organisational skills including time management and prioritising; with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to travel within the UK and abroad
