GTC are part of a family of companies owned by BUUK Infrastructure group and we are currently recruiting for a Land Rights Team Leader to professionally and effectively manage a team obtaining all necessary land rights and consents to facilitate the long term uninterrupted use of BUUK Infrastructure’s energy assets, for all utilities, in a timely manner and in line with customer requirements which is undertaken by the Land Rights department. This full time, permanent position is based at our office in Woolpit.

We are looking for someone with the ability and skills to create and fully implement new processes beneficial to the company. While it is not essential that you have had previous experience within this sector before, you must have an understanding of fundamental land law (i.e. land transfer, lease, easement, wayleave). Training on our systems and the company will be provided.

Responsibilities will include
- Effectively and efficiently managing the team to accurately instruct BUUKs solicitors, submitting our Heads of Terms, issuing of template documentation, whilst owning and progressing a portfolio of work
- Manage a direct interface with GTC solicitors, Developers, Developer’s solicitors, Third Party solicitors and Wayleave Officers for all utilities, to ensure negotiations progress at a swift pace
- Ability to effectively and swiftly escalate potential delays from any of the above parties, to the Land Rights Manager
- Ability to professionally and coherently motivate the upstream incumbents and other parties where applicable
- Meeting with any parties and their commercial solicitors to agree processes and standard template documents to benefit BUUK and manage correspondence thereafter
- Ensure the team secure authorised signatories at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure the team are adequately developed and trained to negotiate and assist throughout all conveyancing stages
- Ensure a professional and excellent relationship is maintained with Utility Infrastructure Provider and Power On Connections customers, with the ability to amend processes as and when the need should arise
- Accurate checking of invoices to be passed for payment
- Communicate professionally effectively with all parties at all levels
- Ability to produce and understand statistical reports
