**Job purpose**:
To provide a service to the highest standards in a fast paced, prestigious airport. If you are someone that is practically minded and enjoy working as a team member as well as working on your own, this position will be perfect for you.

The position requires you to have a high level of self-presentation, customer service & communication skills are essential along with a positive/helpful attitude.

To Work as part of a team at Fedex Stansted supplying support for Corporate security and to act as part of the Security team supplying 24hrs a day, 7 days a week cover.

**Must have minimum SIA man guarding licence**

**Shift pattern**:4 days - 3 nights - 4 off,3 days - 4 nights - 3 off

Days 06.00 to 18.00 hrs, Nights 18.00 to 06.00 hrs (56 Hrs per week)**
Rates**:11.03 per hour**
Location**:Fedex StanstedCM24 1FE

**Role requirements**:

- Communication must be to the highest standards
- Customer focus must be to the highest standards

**Required duties**:
**Reception: -**
- First point contact for all visitors.
- Signing in and out all visitors
- Security checks for all staff, visitors and contractors entering and exiting site
- Phone queries
- Out of hours package queries

**Gatehouse: -**
- Recording access and egress of all vehicles entering site
- Checking and sealing all vehicles entering and leaving site
- Communicating with patrolling officer and control room regarding vehicular movements
- Safe operation of entrance and exit barriers

**Patrolling Officer: -**
- Escort all non AVSEC trained visitors to their required destination and hand over to Fedex employees

**Rear Gates: -**
- At times gates are open man the gates to ensure only permitted personnel enter and exit site

**Airside Officer: -**
- Physically guard aircraft closest to validation point whilst keeping a close eye on all areas of the critical point

**General: -**
- Any reasonable request made by both Mitie and the client

**Essential skills needed**:

- Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
- Ideally previous experience in corporate security environment would be an advantage, but as full site training is given this is not essential.
- Health and safety awareness and knowledge
- Knowledge of relevant procedures
- Physically fit to undertake given tasks
- Enthusiastic in delivering service excellence
- Possess the ability to work under pressure
- Effective Communicator
- Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
- The ability to work independently or as a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
