**What the Hiring Manager says** "This is a unique opportunity to join a friendly and ambitious team for a fixed term in an interesting and varied role, predominantly working for a single investment manager but also being on hand to support other investment managers at times. We are a team of 6 investment managers and 6 support staff, with a large and varied client base. Together we manage investment portfolios for our clients as well as dealing with the complex day to day requirements this entails. We have a strong work ethic andour client relationships are just as important as the investment returns, meaning administrative aspects of our duties are essential in maintaining the highest standards in client service. You will be expected to take on responsibility early on for a range of important administrative tasks including dealing directly with private clients and their professional advisers, as well as various teams and departments across the company necessary to completeyour everyday duties. Edward Lummis - Investment Manager **About the Role** Level: 2 Department: Quilter Cheviot Location: London Contract type: Fixed Term Contract Contract Duration: 6 months (maternity cover) As an Investment Administrator you’ll be part of a team working very closely with our clients and their advisers to provide an excellent level of service. You will also be working closely with the investment manager and assisting in general administration which covers a wide range of important duties. These will vary daily and include the following key tasks: - Answering the telephone, dealing with administrative queries from clients and their advisers and taking messages. - Handling the data aspect of suitability reviews, interpreting information from investment manager meeting notes and entering information into our CRM database and preparing suitability letters. - Keeping tax forms such as W-8BENS up to date and liaising with clients to get these completed. - Preparing, printing and binding client reports for meetings. - Booking client meeting appointments. - Distributing copies of the investment manager quarterly investment summaries and reviews to advisers. - Processing ISA subscriptions. - Arranging portfolio transfers in and out. - Maintaining up to date filing and databases with revised client details. - Processing client payments (CHAPS / BACS). You might also be asked to carry out any other duties, which might be reasonably requested by your line manager to ensure the smooth running of the client base. **About You** Applications from people with diverse backgrounds enables our inclusive organisation to thrive. To be successful in this role you’ll be an independent worker and thinker with the ability to write clearly and accurately, have strong attention to detail and have a confident and relaxed manner when talking on the phone with clients and advisers. A good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required (but not necessarily being an excel expert). Any experience with the key day to day systems we use such as Figaro and CRM will be useful, but any technical skills are not a pre-requisite for thisrole and a good level of communication skills is highly desirable. There will be support to assist with learning any new systems and processes, however being able to demonstrate an aptitude for learning new systems will be of merit.
