Health and Safety Manager (£40,000 - £50,000 per annum DOE)

Our client is an established, growing business (Tier 1 Contractor to the UK's largest Telecoms Company) operating within the Telecoms Utilities Sector, based in Wellingborough, Northants.

They are seeking an SHEQ Qualified Health and Safety Manager to work from their East Midlands Office. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to expand the role and develop a career in line with the expansion of the Company.

This a full-time role, both office and site based and will involve a variety of health and safety activities which require attention to detail and the ability to communicate with others both at Head Office, on site and with clients' Health & Safety personnel.

With demonstrable experience as a SHEQ leader, you'll have a good mix of health, safety, environment, sustainability and quality policy and legislative competence, applied within a construction/utilities environment, particularly in relation to audit and assurance.

The role will involve responsibilities such as:
*Ensuring the business is legally compliant with H&S legislation at all times;
*Proactively working to ensure that SHEQ is considered at all stages;
*Investigating all accident, incidents and near misses;
*Undertaking weekly safety site audits, toolbox talks and daily briefings.

Our client is seeking someone who holds a NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum and has extensive experience with CDM. This is a high growth area of the business, and you would be joining at a very exciting time, with responsibility developing a department to help deliver this growth. The role will involve travel throughout the UK and can be based partly remote, but should ideally be commutable to our offices near Wellingborough.
