Head of Service Operations

**South East/South Coast**

**Hendy Group are delighted to be able to share two new senior leadership roles providing opportunities for experienced and proven Service/Aftersales professionals to join our Service Directorate as either Head of Service for core operations or Head of Service for our specialist operations. These roles have been created due to an exciting period of continued growth and investment. They will each work closely together to ensure that strategies around service excellence, customer experience, colleague progression and development are all aligned, and world class.**

**Both roles will report in to our Group Service & Bodyshop Director.**

**We are flexible on base location, however frequent regional travel will be required to fulfil the needs of our multi-site organisation.**

**The Head of Service (Core) Operations Opportunity**

In this role you will have overall responsibility for leading the service operations for our 16 core brands that operate across 25 locations from Eastbourne to Exeter (Bodyshop is not included). You will lead a senior management team of Divisional Performance Managers with approximately 400 colleagues and be responsible for revenue generation in excess of £6m. Flexibility to travel is required across the South.

**The Head of Service (Specialist) Opportunity**

In this role you will have overall responsibility for leading the service operations that includes our 3 car stores (Exeter, Dorset and Portsmouth) and our Performance and prestige/luxury brands at Southampton, Poole and Exeter (Bodyshop is not included). You will lead a senior management team and approx. 200 colleagues and be responsible for generating a revenue approaching £4m. This role operates mainly in Dorset, Hants and Devon, however flexibility to travel is required across the South.

With responsibility for overseeing multiple locations across the South Coast, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Being accountable for deploying fiscal and experiential improvement strategies,
- Driving performance and behaviour outcomes through your team,
- Coach and role model our Senior Management Team,
- Budgetary planning and ownership,
- Representing the Group when required,
- Build and develop infrastructure for rapid growth,
- Demonstrate the Hendy values

**About you**:
What is important to us is that you have proven experience in Senior Management at a similar level with an understanding of Service Operations, whether that be in a small group looking to progress, or currently operating at a strategic level looking for larger scale.

You will need a sound technical knowledge of vehicle Aftersales operations. Taking into account this is a Senior Leadership role, you will have demonstrable experience in the effective direction of managers to drive performance through their teams. You will be an advocate for personal and team development and demonstrate first class leadership and motivation skills, with the ability to work comfortably in a matrix structure.

You will need to be an articulate communicator, building relationships and influencing at all levels across a variety of stakeholder groups to instigate change within the directorate.
