Head of Operations

Cogito are proud to be partnering with a subsidiary of highly profitable global business who are looking for a Head of Operations to join their evolving team within an industry that is experiencing continual year-on-year growth. The business is circa 30 people strong and has exciting growth plans. This role would suit a proactive leader with expert knowledge in for financial control, compliance, and team empowerment.

As Head of Operations, you'll play a pivotal role, ensuring every facet of their business operates in alignment with financial regulations and internal standards. This leadership position involves overseeing financial control, reporting, and deputising for the Managing Director when needed.

The role is hybrid, but with an expectation for 2 days per week working from their Bournemouth office with flexibility to attend meetings in London monthly.

**Your Responsibilities Include**:
**Leading and Mentoring**:Guide a dynamic team, fostering growth and excellence amongst your direct reports.

**Regulatory Compliance**:Stay ahead of the curve by implementing best practices and conducting regular reviews to keep our operations in line with industry standards.

**Financial Oversight**: Manage monthly reporting, collaborate closely with key financial stakeholders to ensure rigorous financial control, tax management, and ensure smooth invoice processing.

**KPI Mastery**: Drive success through detailed weekly KPI reporting, both internally and externally.

**Client and Customer Success Champion**: Leadership of the Internal Customer and Client teams, ensuring top-tier client management, precision in execution (including price changes), and a relentless focus on process improvement to enhance productivity.

**Ideally you will be**:

- Degree educated.
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA or equivalent) with two years plus post qualification experience, from either consumer facing financial services environment/ retail/ecommerce or fintech background.
- An experienced resilient leader who can evidence how they have evolved and shaped commercial and financial operations in line with business growth plans.
- Competent in developing and empowering teams to achieve results.
