The new MD who has grown from within the business hashit the ground running by speaking to employees and listening to them intently. His mission is to build a collaborative environment and a place where everyone feels truly valued.You understand manufacturing and how important it is for your customers to visualise and understand the process the product goes through. They have a reputation for rewarding staff generously with a competitive salary and their bonus offering of up to 75%, which is unheard of and shows their commitment to you achieving in this role. These guys have a fantastic business, they sell on quality & service rather than price. They have a wealth of experience within their sector. Your job is to extract those golden nuggets and educate new customers, align the sales team and identify marketsegregations.As Sales & Marketing Director you are someone who loves to get stuck in with analytics, data, and trends you are always one step ahead of your competition knowing what they are up toYour first job will be to go out to the market, research, capture, analyseand plan your next move. The MD has worked his way up the ladder, and as a result knows every nook and cranny of the business. He has his finger on the pulse at all times, but his understand his expertise is not in marketing, by his own admission they don't tap into marketing enough,they are missing a trick and leaving a lot of money on the table. He needs you to come in and show him and the rest of the team how to do things properly. They will teach you their product and together you can create an innovative brand Your experience lies within a sizeable organisation with a business-to-business client base ideally in Engineering where you have control of a marketing budget. Perhaps you're frustrated with goal posts being moved and purse strings being tightened? You'llget none of that here. These guys encourage you to bring fresh ideas and will give you free rein to experiment. They understand the best ideas require investment and collaboration. Full transparency: Although the role is Sales & Marketing Director it probably should be Marketing & Sales Director as the emphasis is definitely on the Marketing part of the role, but I want this advert to land in your lap, and how many adverts do you seefor "Marketing & Sales Director"? When it comes to sales it's not about being front and centre with customers, it's more about driving accountability in sales, setting strategy, managing personalities & attitudes, and recognising those data trends **"the average adult will spend 34 years of their lives on screens" so you'll be comfortable and competent with digital marketing strategies but let's face it... traditional marketing still works You'll be well rounded in old school methods to getthose conversations started.** - You make it your duty to know exactly who your competitors are, you are one step ahead of what they are doing - What is your market share? What is the potential? - What do we look like versus our competitors? What is your customer or "ideal customer" saying? What do they like about what you do and wont makes them run away to a competitor? Feeding that through the right channels to making it happen - You know what a great strategy looks like and how to implement that - You love a trade show or an Expo. You're "on it" when it comes to branding and creating brand awareness, networking, and selling the dream. - You can identify the best way to get Infront of the right customers at the right time and before your competitors. I asked about CRM systems, again a blank canvas and completely open to your ideas You'll also be an advisor for this ambitious MD, a key player in assisting him to grow his portfolio. He needs your sound advice and expertise to do the relevant market research and competitor analysis to present a show stopping business plan This Sales & Marketing Director role won't be a walk in the park, you will come up against barriers to change lower down the chain, but you know how to manage that, hold them accountable and bring them over to your way of thinking The package on offer is extremely competitive £80-100k salary and an annual bonus paid at up-to 75%, private healthcare, a pension at 10% and a full expensed company
